This Privacy Policy describes how TinySteps: Baby Growth Tracker (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (“App”). We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of you and your family.

Information We Collect

TinySteps collects information that you voluntarily provide to track your baby's growth and development:

Baby profile information: Name, date of birth, gender, and profile photo
Growth measurements: Weight, height, and head circumference records
Milestone and vaccination records: Developmental milestones and immunization tracking
Journal entries: Notes and memories about your baby
Account information: Email address (if you choose to create an account via Apple Sign-In or email)

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the App's functionality:

Display growth charts and track your baby's development over time
Sync data across your devices when you sign in with an account
Enable family sharing so caregivers can collaborate on tracking
Power the AI chat assistant to provide personalized parenting guidance based on your baby's data

Data Storage

TinySteps stores your data locally on your device by default. If you choose to create an account, your data is securely synced to our cloud servers (powered by Supabase) to enable cross-device access and family sharing. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption.

AI Chat Feature

Our AI-powered chat assistant uses your baby's profile information (age, growth data) to provide contextual parenting guidance. Chat conversations may be processed by third-party AI providers. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. The AI assistant provides general information only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase: For secure authentication and cloud data storage
Apple Sign-In: For optional account authentication
AI providers: For powering the chat assistant feature

We do not integrate advertising SDKs or sell your data to any third parties.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your baby's data is only shared with family members you explicitly invite through the family sharing feature.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

You can delete individual records (measurements, milestones, journal entries) at any time within the App
You can delete your entire account and all associated data from the Settings screen
You can export your data by contacting us directly
Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers

Children's Privacy

TinySteps is designed for parents and caregivers to track their children's growth. The App is not intended to be used directly by children. We collect baby information only as provided by parents or authorized caregivers, and this data is used solely for growth tracking purposes within the App.

Security

We take the security of your family's data seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication methods, and regular security reviews.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
